Utena Basic Plot
Revolutionary Girl Utena is about Utena Tenjou, a student at Ohtori Academy. She was given a ring with a rose crest on it from a mysterious prince, who comforted her when she was a little girl and her parents died. Ever since then, she wanted to become a prince and save other people. One day, at school, Utena sees Anthy Himemiya being slapped by Saionji, a Student Council member. She notices he wears a ring similar to that of her own rose crest. It turns out that all of the Student Council memebers have the same mysterious ring. Utena confronts him, and is challenged to a fencing duel. Utena accepts and meets him after school. On top of this beautiful arena, Utena and Saionji duel, with Utena winning. But Utena didnt know what she was in for. Since she beat Saionji, she now gained possession of Anthy Himemiya, the Rose Bide, and was now engaged to her! Student Council president and all around popular guy, Touga Kiryuu, impressed with Utena's swordsmenship skills, falls in love with her, but she isn't as impressed with him! And on top of it all, Utena finds out that the other Student Council members want to get Anthy as their own! Utena, now has to fight other Student Council Memebers who want to gain the Rose Bride and use her to revolutionize the world!
